The Firm

Bill and Stephanie Werdehoff are a husband and wife team, limiting their practice to Family Law.

Both are members of the Madison County and State of Alabama Bar Associations and the Family Law Section of the State Bar.

Bill was a military lawyer serving in the JAGC for 6 years, then entered the general practice of law in Huntsville in 1973. In 1976 Bill was asked to join the District Attorney's staff to develop the Madison County Child Support Program. Under his leadership this award winning program gained statewide recognition. Bill served as President of the Alabama Child Support Association and was awarded this group's coveted "John Hewlet" Award for his work in the field.

Bill's background includes over 25 years of trial experience.

Stephanie has practiced in Huntsville since 1981, first as a solo practitioner, then as a partner in a local law firm before joining husband, Bill, in their practice of Family Law in 1991.

Stephanie is a former Municipal Court Judge for the City of Huntsville and spearheaded efforts which resulted in the complete reform of the Huntsville Municipal Court system, bringing it within the requirements of state and federal constitutional law.
